ASSISTANCE FOR THE CONSULTATION OF THE DATA BASE

The consultation grid comprises four fields that use the same consultation techniques :
  • Tous /All is used to consult all the data base fields
  • Auteur / Author is used to consult the author field
  • Descripteurs is used to consult the descriptor's field (in French)
  • Descriptors is used to consult the descriptor's field (in English)

It is easier and safer to carry out a search by using the index. To that effect, click the index button next to or under the keying field, then select the term(s) of your choice and click consult. However, for all fields, it is possible to type directly the word(s) being sought.

It is easier and safer to carry out a search by using the index. To that effect, click the index button next to or under the keying field, then select the term(s) of your choice and click consult. However, for all fields, it is possible to type directly the word(s) being sought.

If there are several criteria, please separate them with a ";" without a space before or after.

For all the fields it is possible to do advanced research by combining terms. To that effect, the boolean operators " AND " or " OR " can be used.

To fine-tune your research, select " AND " which allows you to find references containing all the research terms. For example : Preventive education " AND " educational environment" to find documents on preventive education and educational environment. Syntax: {Education; Educational Environment } and then select And

To broaden your research select " OR " which allows you to find references containing at least one of the research terms. For example: Senegal " OR " Cameroon to find documents on Senegal or documents on Cameroon. Syntax : {Senegal; Cameroon} and then select OR

The research button is used to launch research and the initialize button is used to delete.

DISPLAYING RESEARCH RESULTS

The short format displays the name of the author, the reference title and the key words for each reference found. Each element of the page is linked to the itemized reference file.

The detailed format contains all the essential elements of reference. To accede to it, click on one of the visible links (author, title…).

The print button is used to print the page while the return button is used to come back to the format list.

OBTAINING COPIES OF THE DOCUMENT

In most cases, there is an "availability" field which gives the address where the document can be obtained. In the absence of this address, you may contact the following address to obtain a photocopy, whenever practicable, by providing the MFN (Master File Number)
