20.07.01 in Praia, The Memorandum of Understanding between, on the one hand, the sponsors of Education for All in Cape Verde: UNESCO, UNDP, UNICEF, FNUAP, the World Bank, WHO and FAO and, on the other hand, the Governement of Cape Verde, was signed today.

This Memorandum of Understanding materialises the commitment by the sponsors
of Education for All to support, under the coordination of the Ministry of
Education, Culture and Sports of Cape Verde, and collaborate in the preparation and validation of their National Plan of Action of Education for All, as well as in
the sensitisation of stakholders and in the sharing of information.

The National Plan of Action of Education for All should ensure that the access
to a quality education for all is achieved and maintained from now till the year 2015.

The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of Praia under the joint chair of H. Exc. Madam Fatima Veiga, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and of Mr. A. Parsuramen, Director,
UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Africa (BREDA).
