National
co-ordinators Meeting at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, September
17-19, 2001
The
UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Africa (BREDA), in collaboration
with the World bank, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA and other key partners,
will convene the EFA National co-ordinators Meeting at UNESCO Headquarters
in Paris, France, September 17-19, 2001The forty-six Member States
in Africa are expected to attend.
The
aim of this meeting is to facilitate the preparation of the EFA
National Plans of Action and to strengthen synergies among partners.
More specifically, the meeting will:
- Assess
progress achieved by Member States of the region in the preparation
of EFA National Plans of Action;
- Review
the Draft Regional Action Plan;
- Develop
regional mechanisms for EFA follow-up;
- Promote
Collaboration with Development partners.
