Workshop
on the Bamako follow-up,

Dakar 21-23 May, 2001
In collaboration with the Collective
Consultation of NGO's on Education For All, the World Bank and UNESCO
are holding in Dakar a follow-up workshop to the seminar on the contribution
of NGOs/CSO to de EFA goals
The aim of this workshop is
(i) to validate the recommendations made in Bamako and to prepare their
dissemination throughout the region; (ii) to develop the conceptual framework
of a training program for local NGO/SCO throughout the region, and (iii)
to explore the possibilities of setting up a support fund for this program.
The workshop will take place
at the BREDA (Regional UNESCO Office for West Africa) in Dakar, between
21 and 23 May, 2001.
Participants will represent
national and international NGO's, local associations, the governments
who attended the Bamako seminar and bilateral and multilateral partners.
