EFA follow up is a collective responsibility that all educational partners,
at national, regional and international levels, have agreed to assume.
In keeping with the role mandated to UNESCO "in coordinating EFA partners
and maintaining their collaborative momentum" and in order to support

Office for Education in Africa (BREDA) is committed to organizing and
reinforcing synergy with EFA regional partners through consensus and
collaborative action.
In this connection, it has initiated a draft regional action plan as
an EFA follow up . This is a mechanism that will serve to mobilise

States of the African Region to achieve the specific objectives in their
EFA national action plans .
