The work of the FAPED Contact Group composed of 9 countries came to an end on 23 January, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. GMT. Have successively spoken:

Honourable Premnah Ramnah Chairman of the National Assembly of Mauritius Speech	Honourable Youssou Diagne Chairman of the National Assembly of Senegal Speech
The meeting was closed with the signature of the Dakar Declaration by all the delegates.
