What
is it all about?
The Schoolconsem Online Forum
is meant for you to share your ideas and experiences
concerning the planning, design, realisation, management
and maintenance of physical educational facilities
in your community and/or country with us at UNESCO
and other people all around the world. You can also
raise questions with regards to these issues and
get answers online through other Forum members.
The forum is a continuation
of an earlier initiative taken for SCHOOLCONSEM
IV, which was a regional consultation on educational
facilities in sub-Saharan Africa, held at UNESCO
in Dakar, Senegal, in February 2001. There are six
debates in which you can take part. Please, feel
free to express your ideas and experiences or pose
your questions.
The debates focus on the
impact of globalisation and poverty; on schools
and education; how we can keep our schools safe,
healthy and environmentally friendly and sustainable
places. Also, how new learning systems and approaches
can change the way we plan, design, build and make
use of learning spaces and environments.
